The origin of High Tea Hello hello, I'm back from my heitis from blogging. Life has been bust since returning from Japan three years ago!! and among other things. However, today's post I have been wanting to write about for a long while as it is one of my favourite activities while wearing Lolita fashion, and of course I am talking about the High Tea. “There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” Henry James High Tea – it’s a great way to spend time catching up with friends with, but where did the tradition of High Tea originate from? We did some research and learned all about the delicious origins of this unique tradition. Next time you drink tea and bite into a freshly baked scone, considered that the first person to do just that, did it over 150 years ago! The origins of High Tea While in Australia we call it High Tea, in England (where the tradition originated), it is known as Afternoon Tea.
