Being a plus size Lolita   Hello, it is me again, this time back with another story of my Lolita life. I will be discussing the life of a plus size Lolita, the struggles I have faced. Back in 2012, I started my quest for Lolita and met my future of wearing the fashion at my local convention. I went to my first ever Lolita fashion panel. While I was sitting there, listening to the speakers, I was completely mesmerized by what I  saw. I also seen this as an opportunity to met new friends and and finally found something to express myself how I wanted. After the con had finished for the day, I went home and began to research how I could get my hands on this stuff. Then, I was hit with a problem...........most of these pretty, frilly, lacey dresses were made for people skinnier than I. However, I did not let that stop me. After some Google searching, I found a website that did custom sizing. Little did I know, the site I brought my first dress from was known for making fakes. But,

My experiences as a Lolita in Japan What happens at Lolita brand events? In my last post, I wrote from a foreigners perspective of what it is like to be a Lolita in Japan. I also briefly mentioned about going to, and participating in Lolita brand events. So you're probably thinking, what exactly happens at these events? Well, I'm going to tell you! Usually these events require you to purchase an item from the brand's store usually $35.00 value or above, in order for you to purchase a ticket at around $15.00. It's a bit expensive, however these events are popular, and therefore require you to purchase a ticket in order to secure a spot. Seems pretty reasonable........right? This was the ticket to the very first BTSSB event!                                            Anyway, once the events rolled around, I would meticulously put the best effort ever into my coord and also my make up, as the Japanese Lolitas put a lot of effort into getting ready.
