My Homecoming Meet up: Welcome to the world of Beatrix Potter High Tea.




Hello every one!! Here is a long awaited blog post. Things have been pretty hectic here back down under, and moving back home from Japan. Today I will be sharing my homecoming meet up that I organized.


On Sunday the 3rd of August, my Lolita community and I went to Riversdale Estate Winery, where on the first Sunday of every month, they do a Beatrix Potter/ Peter Rabbit High Tea. It was also a great chance to catch up with everyone from my small, but awesome Lolita comm, and also meet new people as well who joined when I was away. We were seated in a warm sunlit room called "the orangery", decorated with floral décor, with a big flower display in the middle of the room, overlooking the winery on warm, clear winters day. We were served an assortment of sandwiches, little pasties, cakes, pastries and homemade scones serves with raspberry jam and whipped cream. We could also choose from a menu with different sort of teas that were on offer that we could drink. 




Afterward, we took some photos together, then wandered out to the Peter Rabbit Garden for a look. The garden had characters from the Beatrix Potter series such as Jemima Puddle duck, Benjamin Bunny, Mr. Tod and many others. As we were exiting the garden, we made a stop in the gift shop and bought stuff there as well. We then stopped outside, took some more (funny) photos and chatted some more.








It was a fantastic, fun filled afternoon with my little community, and I am happy that they welcomed me back with open arms. I look forward to many more meets to come, weather they be big or small, having and spending time together is important and I will always cherish these special moments forever!!

Brand In Review: Lady Sloth

Welcome to first of my review series on plus size friendly Lolita Brands. Today's brand in review is Lady Sloth (LS). I first discovered Lady Sloth back in 2014 when I first got into Lolita Fashion. At the time I was just a looker and did not buy any of her products. Fast forward to 2017, I was in Japan, Lady Sloth released a print called "Welcome to my Doll House". I loved this print for many reasons, but because I am a doll lover I could not resist getting it. Three to six months later the dress, blouse and accessories arrived in my mailbox. Since then, I have purchased three or four more of her designs.  "Welcome To My Doll House" Lady Sloth uses many different materials, ranging from chiffon, organza, polyester, cotton and etc. I'm no seamstress and not really familiar with materials, but overall wearing the materials the dress is made from, I find the garments very comfortable to wear. The Petticoat   Hello everyone, I'm back with another post!! Yay!! When I first started in Lolita fashion five years ago, one of the things I thought I could get away with was a PETTICOAT!! I thought my bum looked big enough as it was ,and did not need to increase the size, and make it bigger with a petticoat. BUT little did I know that I needed a petticoat to give the dress some SHAPE. Because I'm a plus sized Lolita, I don't need an overly large and poofy petticoat. However, some lolitas wear two or even three pettis underneath on the quest for their desired look they want to achieve   One of the mistakes a lot of beginners make and often overlook is the petticoat.
